"DOC" LAMBERT WAS A FORWARD AIR COTROLLER [FAC] FLYING 0-2A AIRCRAFT OUT OF NAKHON PHANOM AND UBON RTAFB, THAILAND. HE FLEW 203 COMBAT SORTIES OVER THE HO CHI MINH TRAIL IN LAOS.
JIM HODGSON JOINED THE MARINE CORPS TO FLY F-4 PHANTOM II. HE FLEW F-4'S WITH MARINE TACTICAL RECONNIAISSANCE SQ. 3 [VMFP-3] AT EL TORO, CALIFORNIA. HE ACCMULATED MORE THAN 200 HOURS FLYING IN THE RF-4.
JIM WITTENBERG WAS A CREW CHIEF ON THE MUSEUM'S F-5E TIGER II FIGHTER FROM 1973 - 1979. HE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 425th FTS, WILLIAMS AFB, ARIZONA AND THE 57 AGS, 64 AMU
NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, NV.
MIKE AMTOWER USMC ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN ASSIGNED TO HMH 463 CH-53 SEA STALLION, FIRST CH-53 SQUADRON ASSIGNED TO VIETNAM [MARBLE MOUNTAIN] HE FLEW 22 MISSIONS AS A GUNNER IN A CH-53 LIKE THE ONE IN THE MUSEUM.
GARRY GOFF FLEW OV-10'S FROM 1981 TO 1985. HE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 704th TACTICAL AIR SUPPORT SQ. SEBACH AIR BASE WEST GERMANY AND GEORGE AIR FORCE BASE CALIF.. HE FLEW THE MUSEUM'S OV-10 # 385 IN 1984.
Jim Hodgson's first high performance aircraft flight was in the TA-4J Skyhawk. This was also the aircraft he earned his Naval Aviator Wings in 1972.
Jake Jacobson flew the A-7 Corsair II in Combat during the Vietnam War. He flew 64 combat mission in Vietnam and Laos from the carrier USS Oriskany [CVA-34].
He also flew A-4 Skyhawk as an instructor.
Scott Hines flew a helicopter just like this one. 1999 - 2000 with the 1-145 AR at Fort Rucker, Al. 2000-2001 4/7CAV Korea, 2001-2004 4/3 Ft Carson, Co/IRAQ,, 2004-2007 1-14AR FT Rucker, 2007-2010 6/6 CAV Ft Drum, NY/ IRAQ, 2010-2016 3-143AB Albany, NY
Bob Adams was a firefighter in the Air Force with the 7th Bomb Wing , at Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth Texas. He fought four major fires/crashes in a 0-11A crash truck just like the one at the museum.
Tom Kemp flew the OV-10 during the Vietnam War in combat. He was stationed at Nakhon Phanom RTAFB from December 1971 through September 1972. During that period he flew approximately 185 combat sorties in the OV-10 over Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. He flew our display OV-10 aircraft, tail number 835 on 8 different missions.
This is the night version of the 02-A Skymaster. Doc flew combat missions in this during his time in Vietnam at night.
after leaving Vieatnam War, he flew F-4's and F-16 Fighters.
